Here's another project for a friend. She wanted something more "period-like" for a get together at the Shakespeare Tavern.

I made these three boxes of cards for one of our sweet babysitters to give to her friends for Christmas. She gave me a list of colors that each of them liked. Hopefully I interpreted them correctly. She's coming over on Saturday to play with our boys. :)

A sweet friend of mine gave me an early Christmas present over the weekend. She bought me some cool stamps from a shop while on vacation this summer. They came with instructions on how to create a box and medallions from the two sets. The medallion is actually a snowflake that can be cut apart to form layers (hence the medallion on the side of the box). I definitely will take a blender pen and some ink to the background the next time I put these together. I just might save this box for my Mom's birthday next weekend. Now what to put inside...?

I am SO excited to announce that my friend and her husband just adopted the sweetest little girl! She is almost 4 months old so some friends and I hurried to put together a baby shower in just a few weeks. I had about 24 hours to get the invitations made so I decided to design them digitally using My Digital Studio (of course!). Since I didn't need the ink to match any 3-D embellishments and had such a short time to get them in the mail I had them printed at a local office store. They turned out beautifully!
I stamped the outside of the envelopes using the same stamp set, Petal Pizazz in Melon Mambo and Riding Hood Red ink. I hope my friend likes them as much as I do! :)

You're probably wondering where I have been the last couple of days! I don't remember all the specifics but it seems like I have not been home long enough to post anything. Alex (my youngest) woke up on Tuesday complaining that his ears hurt so as soon as my music meeting was over we headed for the doctor's office. We had really yucky weather (lots of rain and wind) that day so everything took longer...Wednesdays are always crazy at our house...and then my laptop lost its internet connection (the computer I use for posting) and I didn't have a spare minute to fix it! Finally today I got to that in-between catching up on school for the boys and planning a baby shower for one of my friends. I'll give you deets on that in a couple of days.
I'm helping at a "scrappers" event at my church on Saturday. Here are two of the cards we'll be making to send to our missionaries. Both cards were CASE'd but I don't have names to thank at the moment.

My brother and I tackled the nursery this afternoon. Here is the before picture:
And the after picture with one coat of Ceramic Pink.
We were hoping that one coat would be sufficient but I guess since we had to use Olympic paint (no VOC's) it didn't cover the walls as well. After it dried I took one look and knew a second coat was in our future. Hopefully we'll get it done before Thanksgiving.
