My brother and I tackled the nursery this afternoon. Here is the before picture:
And the after picture with one coat of Ceramic Pink.
We were hoping that one coat would be sufficient but I guess since we had to use Olympic paint (no VOC's) it didn't cover the walls as well. After it dried I took one look and knew a second coat was in our future. Hopefully we'll get it done before Thanksgiving.
I probably shouldn't publish this card until I give it to Betsy and Tom tomorrow, but I am counting on her being asleep by now. :) Happy Anniversary, you guys!
(I tried SO hard not to use the Medallion background stamp that I have used on so many anniversary cards but I couldn't help myself. It is SO perfect.)

I am sitting here with my sweet husband watching G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and just finished designing a card (and ordering it!) to complete My Digital Studio Certification. I chose to use a stamp set that I don't actually own yet. What a great way to try it out. :)
Tomorrow I hope to find some time to start on the boys' Halloween scrapbook layouts so I can get them printed and slide them into their scrapbooks. Of course I still have all of our Disney pictures to scrapbook...but one thing at a time.
I finished the last two webinars today and took my quizzes. I was so excited I had to scrapbook a layout before I went to bed. :)
I chose to use the pictures from last week's pumpkin farm visit and create one layout for both boys. I just swapped out photos so each boy would have a unique layout.
This is Alex's layout. The next one is Clark's. I kept everything the same except for three photos.
So easy! Tomorrow I am going to make a card using one of these pictures to send to our families for Thanksgiving. :)
Then...I'll get back to those Christmas cards from Monday...

Yesterday was filled with church in the morning, lunch, naps for the boys, and then a trip back to church for a big orchestra concert. I had SO much fun playing. It was a real treat! We did a variety of music like "Across the Stars" from Star Wars 2, Finale from Tchaikowsky's 4th Symphony, some Glenn Miller selections, etc. After the concert, we went to dinner with my in-laws and by the time we got home it was after 11 p.m. Poor Alex fell asleep in the car. He woke up this morning with his shirt and sweater vest on and a pull-up. :) He kept asking me where his pajamas were. So at 7:30 a.m. this morning I put on his PJs. That's what Mondays are for at my house.
While the boys napped today I started stamping our Christmas cards. I hope that if I work diligently a little each week that they'll be done by Thanksgiving so I can be free to stress about starting a pregnancy journal, catching up the boys' scrapbooks, planning Clark's 4th birthday party, and preparing for Ella Catherine's arrival on top of Christmas preparations. :)

I'm loving the new Chic Boutique stamp set. It's perfect for so many girlie cards! Sometimes I get tired of flowers so this is a great alternative. I'm going to send this to my youngest sister whom I don't get to see very often.

We had a little trick or treat excursion to my husband's office yesterday and then went out tonight in the rain (well...it was sprinkling and FREEZING!). Clark (the oldest) got tired first and wanted to go home. Alex would have nothing to do with it and wanted "more candy" until he realized that Clark was in the warm house and suddenly the two more houses we were going to visit were abandoned. We took so many pictures. Alex is such a ham and doesn't like to look at the camera so most of the shots we get of him are just silly.
I don't think Alex was actually kissing the pumkin--just curious and had to get a closer look.
Alex got the notion that Woody's hat would look better on Buzz. :)
I think we had just asked Alex to "look at Mommy" and this is what we got!
Clark was still finishing his dinner so Alex grabbed both pumpkins...twice the candy, right?!

My husband's cousin has a birthday on Halloween. How fun! I don't even know if Hallmark sells Halloween birthday cards but I decided to make her a card full of pumpkins. :)
